Our process removes common barriers by eliminating strict background checks, high deposits, and standard income requirements.

Shang's Safe Haven was founded by Rachele Cartier alongside Renetta Williams and Michael Cartier with a vision of creating more than just housing — but a true support system and safe place for individuals in need of stability and guidance.
The Heart Behind the Name
The heart behind the name "Shang's Safe Haven" comes from the backbone of our family, lovingly known by everyone as Ms. Shang. She was known as the neighborhood mom — a woman with an open heart who welcomed, supported, and accepted everyone. Her compassion, strength, wisdom, and ability to make people feel safe and valued became the inspiration behind this organization.
Her legacy lives through our mission to create an environment where people feel respected, encouraged, and empowered to move forward in life.
